6.2 Cleaning the appliance
Clean the appliance as specified. This will ensure that the
different parts and surfaces of the appliance are not
damaged by incorrect cleaning or unsuitable cleaning
products.
WARNING
Highly caustic alkaline or highly acidic cleaning agents in
conjunction with aluminum parts in the interior of the
appliance may cause explosions.
Never use highly caustic alkaline or highly acidic

cleaning agents. In particular, do not use commercial or
industrial cleaning agents in conjunction with aluminum
parts, e.g. grease filter on extractor hoods.
WARNING
Moisture intrusion may cause an electric shock.
Before cleaning, pull out the power plug or switch off the

circuit breaker in the circuit breaker box.
Do not use any steam cleaners or high-pressure
▶
cleaners to clean the appliance.
WARNING
The appliance becomes hot during operation.
Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.

Components inside the appliance may have sharp edges.
Clean the appliance interior carefully.

Clean stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the

Clean painted surfaces using a damp sponge cloth

Clean aluminum using a soft cloth and glass cleaner.

Clean plastic using a soft cloth and glass cleaner.

Clean glass using a soft cloth and glass cleaner.

Dry with a soft cloth.

6.3 Removing grease filter

Grip below the grease filter with one hand.

Open the lock and fold down the grease filter. While
doing this, place your other hand under the grease filter.

grease filter. Do not hold the grease filter at an angle,
otherwise grease will drip out.
Take the grease filter out of the holder.
Clean the filter.

6.4 Fitting the grease filters
NOTICE:
Falling grease filters may damage the cooktop below.
Grip below the grease filter with one hand.

Insert the grease filters.

Fold the grease filters upwards and engage the locks.

Ensure that the locks engage.

6.5 Optional odor filter replacement
For more information about the odor filter see installation
instructions.
¡ The odor filter cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced
every 4-6 months, depending on hood usage.
¡ Do not rinse or put the odor filter in an automatic
dishwasher.
