20 INSTALLATION

Route the water lines.
• If you've connected a copper water line
flexible water line
the appliance until it emerges at the back of the appliance. You will be connecting the 2 water lines (

• If you've connected a PEX or flexible water line
push that line through the channel at the back of the appliance until it emerges at the front of the
appliance. You will be connecting the 2 water lines (
CAUTION
• Do not kink the water lines. Doing so creates a risk of leaks and water damage.

You are now ready to connect the two water lines together.

Remove the flexible plastic cap from the end of the water line

Place the compression nut and ferrule (sleeve) onto the end of the house water line. If you are using a
PEX connection kit, it may already have the required fittings.

Connect the house water line to the water line from the refrigerator. While holding the tubing, screw
the fittings together by hand. Tighten the fittings using the open-end wrench provided. Do not
overtighten the nut

Turn on the water and check for leaks at all connections.

Proceed with step 5 under Installing Appliance in Enclosure.

Adjust the depth of the unit in the enclosure so the door panels will fit flush with the surrounding
cabinetry. Use the gauge tool provided for a precise fit.

Measure the thickness of your decorative door panels using the gauge tool.
Set the door panel on a flat, protected surface and place the gauge tool
notch on the gauge tool that matches the thickness of the door panel.
