PREPARATION
Unpacking and completing the assembly should
be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough
space for moving the product and its packaging,
always making use of suitable equipment.
WARNING
Always unplug your product from power source
before any adjustment.
TRANSPORT WHEELS
To install the transport wheels:
1. Insert the bolt (Fig. 2.1) through the wheel (Fig.
2.2).
2. Insert the wheel and bolt assembly through the
whole of the wheel bracket (Fig. 2.3).
3. Insert the washer (Fig. 2.4) and then screw in the
nut (Fig. 2.5) by hand on the bolt from the rear
side of the bracket.
4. Secure the wheel assembly in place by tighte-
ning the nut.
Repeat the above for both wheels.
LUBRICATION
WARNING
The product is delivered without oil. Before star-
ting this product, the compressor must be filled
with oil and the oil breather cap must be placed in
position.
Check technical data table for oil specifications.
To fill the compressor with oil:
1. Place the product on level ground.
2. Remove the oil filler cap (Fig. 3.1) from the com-
pressor oil filler neck (Fig. 3.2).
3. Gradually add enough oil to bring the oil level
until to the red dot mark on the oil sight glass
(Fig. 3.4).
4. Insert the oil breather cap (Fig. 3.3) in the oil fi-
ller neck and tighten appropriately.
WARNING
Use a funnel in order to avoid spilling oil and wipe
off any spilled oil before starting the product.
AIR FILTER
Place the air filter (Fig. 4.2) in position on the com-
pressor cylinder head (Fig. 4.1) and carefully tigh-
ten it securely with the bolts.
PLACEMENT
Place the product in a clean, dry and well-venti-
lated area and on stable and level surface. The
compressor should be located at least half a meter
away from walls or any other object which would
interfere with airflow. Keep all parts which collect
dust or dirt clean. A clean compressor runs cooler
and efficiently. Do not place rag, containers or
other materials on top of the compressor.
MOTOR
The installed electric motor is completely wired
and ready for operation. The connection to the
power supply system, and any extension cables
that may be used, must conform with local regu-
lations. The mains voltage must coincide with the
voltage specified on the motor's rating plate. The
connection to the mains must be protected with an
appropriate fuse and only a socket with the proper-
ly installed ground contact must be used.
ACCESSORIES
The quick release coupler allows for quick connecti-
on or disconnection of a high pressure hose on the
air compressor outlet. You can connect any hose
with the corresponding type and size of quick cou-
pler to the air compressor by inserting the end of
the hose into the quick coupler on the compressor
until they lock. To disconnect, press the ring on the
coupler.
Use only air hoses rated for use with 145PSI (10 bar)
air pressure or higher.
WARNING
When connecting a tool or accessory to the hose
supplied with compressed air by the compressor,
interruption of the flow of air from the hose is com-
pulsory. Firmly grasp hose in hand when installing
or disconnecting, as high pressure air escaping the
tank and the force applied to the hose could dama-
ge the equipment or cause injury.
DRAIN VALVE
The tank drain valve (Fig. 1.6) can be opened to
allow the compressed air to be released and drai-
ning the water condesate from the tank of the air
compressor.
WARNING
Make sure that you have stopped and unpluged the
product from its power source, before opening the
valve. Carefully open the valve as high pressure air
escaping the tank could damage the equipment or
cause injury.
SAFETY VALVE
The safety valve automatically relieves pressure
from the tank in the event of excessive pressure
build up. It is usually located on the rear part of the
pressure regulator. The safety valve is preset by
the factory. Periodically pull the ring on the safety
valve end to check that it is working properly. If any
abnormality is noticed concerning the operation
of the safety valve, consult your local authorized
service center.
WARNING
Make sure that you have stopped and unpluged the
product from its power source, before opening the
valve. Carefully open the valve as high pressure air
escaping the tank could damage the equipment or
cause injury.
OPERATION
ON/OFF SWITCH
The red knob switch (Fig. 1.12) turns the air com-
pressor on and off. When the switch is pulled up
or turned to the "ON" position, the compressor is
turned on. When the switch is in pushed down or
to the "OFF" position, the compressor is turned off.
