USING THE FOOT PEDAL
CONTROLLING SPEED & STEERING WITH THE FOOT PEDAL
The Foot Pedal is used to operate the Ulterra or Riptide Ulterra trolling motor. The controls on the Foot Pedal are easy to use by
either foot or hand. The motor can also be controlled with a Minn Kota Wireless Remote or any compatible Minn Kota remote. Refer

MODES
The Foot Pedal has two modes of operation: Normal Mode and Ulterra Mode. To alternate between Modes, press the MODE
the right side of the Foot Pedal, just above the Speed Control Knob. The MODE
Ulterra Mode is engaged. Switching between Modes alters the functions of the three buttons at the bottom of the Foot Pedal.
These buttons include:

Normal Mode
When in Normal Mode, the buttons at the bottom of the Foot Pedal function to Steer Left, Steer Right, and turn the Prop ON/OFF. The
amber MODE
LED on the Indicator Panel will not be illuminated when in Normal Mode.

Ulterra Mode
When in Ulterra Mode, the buttons at the bottom of the Foot Pedal function to Trim Up, Trim Down, and Stow/Deploy the Lower Unit.
The amber MODE
LED on the Indicator Panel will be illuminated during Ulterra Mode.
