4. Before Operation
Engine Oil
The mower is shipped without oil in the engine.
All engines are run at the factory prior to packaging. Most of the oil is removed prior to
shipment; however, some oil remains in the engine. The amount of oil left in the engine
varies.
Add enough oil to bring the oil level between the upper and lower limit marks on the
dipstick as shown. Do not overfill engine with oil.

FUEL HANDLING SAFETY
• Fuel is extremely flammable and should always be handled with care.
• Never fill the tank of a machine when the engine is running or hot
• NO SMOKING ! Do not use a cell phone.
• Do not let gasoline or oil come into contact with skin. Do not inhale the vapors.
• Keep oil and gasoline out of eyes. If oil or gasoline splashes in the eyes, rinse immediately
with clean water.
If irritation persists, consult a doctor immediately.
• Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.
ADVICE :
• Only purchase a quantity of fuel that can be used within 30 days to avoid starting problems
with your equipment.
• Never use engine or carburetor cleaning products as they can cause irreversible damage.
• Ensure that fuel is stored in an appropriate jerrycan compatible with the gasoline used.
