Operation with several base stations
You want to operate your mobile unit on two base stations simultaneously. By
positioning the base stations appropriately you can extend the range over which
you can telephone cordlessly.
In order for your mobile units to operate properly on both base stations,
the base stations must be at least 2.5 m apart.
General information
– You can only telephone with your mobile unit via the base station to which it is
presently logged on.
– Internal calls between two mobile units are only possible within the radio range of
the same base station. Both mobile units must be logged in there.
– If your mobile unit is set to select a base station automatically, the base station
changes when you enter another radio area (→ p. 46). It only changes if you lose
radio contact with a base station.
– The base station cannot be changed during a conversation.
– If your mobile unit has been logged off from an automatically selected base
station, you can telephone via the other base station. To do this, you have to log
on to the base under menu item 19.
Operation on the DEC-module of the Integral 1
You want to operate your mobile unit on the DEC module of the Tenovis Integral1
PABX.
The base station to the CS578 may not be connected to the Intergral1
with the telephone cable. In this case, the base is used exclusively for
charging your mobile unit CS578.
Preparations
– Your DEC module must already be plugged into the Intergal1. Read the Intergal1
user manual.
– To log your mobile unit on and off in the DEC module, you need a
TS53 or TS53 PC system terminal. This must be properly connected to the
Integral1.
– Your mobile unit is logged on to the base station it is delivered with as a standard
setting. Log it off from there first (→ p. 45, Notes).
