The display helps you with operation

Various texts and symbols in the display help you with the operation. In addition it
also displays information about the status of your telephone.
Display in the initial state
You can make and receive calls.

S If your batteries are almost flat, you will hear a
"battery warning signal".

When you have changed the batteries, an "empty battery symbol"
always appears first. This applies even if your insert a full battery.
S You get a correct indication after the first full charging cycle.
Display of radio contact with the base station
The symbol indicates that your mobile unit is connected
to a base station.
Symbol flashes: The mobile unit is within range of a
base station but is not logged on (log on the mobile unit
→ p. 45).
Symbol completely off: No base station can be
reached, the mains unit is not plugged in or has no
power.
If the radio contact with your base station threatens to break down,
you will hear a "range warning signal".
