Connection to the Integral1
Your DECT telephone CS578 is equipped for use on the Tenovis Integral1 PABX.
There are two possible ways of connecting it:
– You connect the base station to an analog terminal of the Integral1, e. g. the
modules S1A or M2A.
– If you have plugged in a DEC module: You log on your mobile unit as a subscriber
in the integrated system solution of the Integral1 (→ p. 48).
Notes: Your DECT telephone is already a small telephone system in itself due to a
few features (e.-g. Intercom and call forwarding). Therefore please note, when
connecting to the Integral1 (or another PABX) that the functions described as "inter-
nal" in these operating instructions refer exclusively to processes within the DECT
system. Functions which also concern the connected PABX (e.g. refer back to
another subscriber of this PABX) are, like trunk calls "external" and may require
additional operating steps. Please find out about this by consulting the operating
instructions of this PABX.
Installing the base station
Install the base station as follows:
– on a level surface
– as far away as possible from medical and electronic equipment such as hi-fi
systems, satellite receivers, office equipment or other telephones.
– as far away as possible from an answering machine – noise may impair the
recording quality if it is installed in the direct vicinity
– not in damp rooms such as the bathroom or laundry and out of direct sunlight
– not in wall niches, behind metal surfaces or concrete walls
Connecting the power supply unit:
Note: Do not confuse the power cable and the telephone cable! Otherwise your
telephone will not work and it could be damaged by thunderstorms.
– Plug the cable of the power supply unit into the back of the base station
(
- symbol on the bottom of the base station)
– Plug the plug-in mains unit into the socket
