Once you have made sure of this, the next step is to focus the interaction be-
tween your stove and chimney. The best way to do this is to follow the operat-
ing instructions and to use fuel which ignites easily in the combustion chamber
and continues to burn until the chimney draught is su cient.
Please note that the stove paint will harden during the rst few lightings. This
means that the stove will generate smoke and emit an odour of paint that will
dissipate after about an hour. It is a good idea to keep the room well ventilated
during this phase. Moreover, avoid touching the stove as this may cause the
paint to scale.
The stove consists of sheet iron parts, which will expand and contract dur-
ing the lighting and cooling phase, possibly resulting in creaking noises. This
phenomenon is completely normal for sheet iron, and cannot be regarded as a
fault.
All Jydepejsen stoves are intermittent.
Maximum height of rewood in the combustion chamber is 35 cm.
Warning! NEVER use impregnated wood, painted wood, lami-
nated plastic, plywood, chipboard, refuse,milk
cartons,printed matter or similar.Use of such ma-
terials will invalidate your warranty, as they may
emit toxic, corrosive and hazardous fumes when
burned.They may also cause a build-up of the
toxic gas dioxin, which is damaging to the stove
and the environment.

Place 2 kg of kindling evenly on
the bottom of the combustion
chamber.

Then light the re by using re-
lighters - make sure that the air
vent is in fully open position (to
the left), which activates the air
used for initial lighting.

Shut the door, but leave the air
used for initial lighting in fully
open position for another few
minutes, untill the flames have
taken a good hold of the wood.
Then you can ajdust the air
down to the point where you ob-
tain steady and calm ames.
