• Read the instructions carefully.
Familiarise yourself with the con-
trols and how to use the machi-
ne correctly.

Preparation
• Use ear protection and protective

operate the machine in bare feet
or in open sandals. Avoid wea-
ring loose clothing, clothing with
hanging laces or ties.
• Do not wear loose clothing or je-
wellery that could be sucked into
the air intake. Keep long hair
away from the suction apertures.
• Operate the machine in a recom-
mended position and only when
standing on a solid, flat surface.
• Do not operate the machine on
a paved surface or a gravel sur-

face where the ejected material
could cause injury.
• Always perform a visual in-
spection prior to use to make
sure that the shredding unit is
secured, the housing is undama-
ged and the protective equip-
ment is present.
Replace worn or damaged
components in sets to ensure
balance. Replace damaged or
illegible markings.
• Prior to use, check the power
supply and extension cable for
signs of damage or ageing. If
a cable is damaged or tangled
during use, the mains connec-
tion cable must be disconnected
from the mains supply immedi-
ately. Do not touch the cable
while it is still connected to the
mains. Do not use the machine if
the cable is damaged or worn.
• Use only authorised power cables
of H05RN-F, which are no more
than 75 m long and suitable for
outdoor use. The power cable
wire cross section must be at least
2.5 mm

. Always completely
unroll cable drums before use.
Check the cable for damage.
Operation
• ensure that the in-feed is empty
prior to starting the machine.
• Keep your face and body away
from the in-feed aperture.
• Do not allow hands or other
body parts or clothing to enter
the in-feed or discharge chute,
or to be in the vicinity of moving
parts.
• ensure you are standing secure-
ly and do not lose your balance.
