6.2.1. External surface
Use a soft cloth and neutral liquid detergent to clean the external parts, drying with a dry cloth. Do not use
sponges or other materials, such as flammable products, to file the surface that may cause possible paint peeling,
opacity of the glass, etc.
6.2.2. Glass
The glass self-cleans during stove operation, the air touches the inside of the glass and cleans it of ash and
particles. It is possible that after several hours of operation the glass becomes dirty inside. This may be due to the
quality of the fuel used, as well as a poor draft of the smoke outlet. In this case, clean the glass using a cotton cloth
soaked in glass cleaning detergent.
If after a while we observe an abundant accumulation of ash and particles, generated during combustion,
which does not come out with the routine window cleaner, there is the possibility of applying a product such as liquid
polish, which we will apply, with the help of a dry cloth, leaving it to act (with the equipment cold) for a short time and
removing it with a cloth or cloth.
IMPORTANT: Cleaning the glass must be carried out only and exclusively with the device cold to
avoid a possible explosion.
Glass Breakage: Glass resists temperatures of up to 750º thermal jump and its breakage can only
be caused by a mechanical impact such as a crash, a door slam, etc., which is why its replacement
is not possible. included in the guarantee.
6.2.3. Fire Lodge Door Gasket
This gasket guarantees the hermetic closure of the stove and consequently also guarantees its proper
functioning. It is necessary to check it regularly and replace it immediately if it is in poor condition. This operation
must be carried out only by a specialized technician.
6.2.4. Ash Drawer
The ash box must be removed and cleaned periodically. This operation can be carried out more or less
frequently based on the quality of the fuel used and the combustion residues formed.
6.2.5. Casting Grill
In order to have optimal combustion, you must clean all the particles and ashes accumulated in the cast iron
grate, paying special attention to the grooves that it has. Every time you remove the grill, replace it correctly before
starting the equipment again. This type of maintenance should be performed at least once a day. Only a clean grill
can guarantee the proper functioning of the equipment.
6.2.6. Seasonal Strikes
If the equipment is not going to be used for a long period of time, it is advisable to leave the combustion
chamber completely empty of fuel and ashes, thus avoiding caking of the fuel. At the same time, we will clean both
the equipment and the smoke duct, completely eliminating ash and other waste. To ensure proper cleaning of the
smoke duct, carefully read section "6.1. Cleaning and Maintenance of the Smoke Exhaust" in this manual.
7.
PRIMARY AIR CHANNELING
There are various models that have the option of primary air channeling that allows us to supply the air
necessary for combustion from another room other than the one in which the equipment is installed or from outside,
if this is considered appropriate.
The following models sold by FM Calefacción have the aforementioned primary air channeling option:
- All models included in the insertable range.
