Smoke Evacuation Systems, Pipe and Connections
It is always good to remember that the smoke evacuation system is of fundamental importance for the correct
and safe operation of the product. Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel and in accordance with
current standards. The equipment's smoke outlet evacuation system is installed due to a pressure effect on the
combustion chamber. It is important that this smoke evacuation system is correctly connected to the specific materials
and with the following characteristics:
- The tubes must be hermetically sealed, so it is necessary to use steel tubes equipped with silicone gaskets.
- They must be approved for fire resistance, work under pressure as well as high temperatures (AISI316
double-walled insulated tube is recommended as it is resistant to high temperatures).
Thanks to the connection fitting, the stove can be connected to a new smoke outlet duct or to an existing duct
made of masonry or metal, and this must necessarily be insulated. In the event that the smoke outlet already exists,
it is necessary to carry out a control by authorized personnel to make a declaration of conformity of the integrity and
dimensions of the duct to be connected to the stove before use. Smoke evacuation cannot be carried out in closed
or semi-closed places. We recommend periodic cleaning of the smoke evacuation system, even if it is manufactured
according to the criteria indicated by the installer and/or builder and with fireproof and insulated materials and
according to current regulations. The tubes used for the smoke evacuation system must be rigid, made of steel,
sanded on the inside and accompanied by silicone gaskets.
The length must be calculated in all horizontal and vertical tubes, considering that 90º elbows have an
equivalence of 1 horizontal meter.
ATTENTION:
Do not connect the smoke evacuation pipe to:
- A smoke duct used by other heat generators (fireplaces, wood stoves, boilers...).
- To an air extraction system.
Below, we show a series of images of how to connect the smoke pipe.
