Cleaning and Maintenance of the Smoke Exhaust
A smoke evacuation system (connections and ducts) in good condition is a guarantee of safety and proper
functioning of your equipment.
- We recommend regular and frequent cleaning according to the written indications provided by the installer
and/or manufacturer of the installed material (the law requires the delivery of this documentation) and according to
current regulations. It is recommended that it be done once a year.
- The smoke evacuation duct must be checked regularly and cleaned by qualified personnel, before lighting it
for the first time or after a long period of non-use of the stove.
- To prevent the formation of creosote (soot): Keep the stove with the primary air control fully open for 30
minutes daily to burn off the creosote deposited inside the stove and the evacuation system. The chimney connector
pipe should be inspected at least monthly during the stove's operating season to determine if creosote formation has
occurred. If the glass gets dirty frequently, the combustion temperature range is low; this tells you the risk of creosote
formation.
- Accumulated creosote must be removed with a specific chimney sweep or cleaner brush designed for this
use. For this reason, it is recommended that before each season of use, a professional inspection of the entire system
is carried out, cleaning it and repairing it, if necessary.
- In the event of a fire in the chimney, if you can, turn off the air vents and contact the authorities immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Equipment
Cleaning and maintenance operations guarantee good operation and safety for the product over time.
Maintenance must be carried out punctually, depending on consumption, at least once a year and always after the
summer period and before the autumn/winter period. You will have to schedule the technical interventions for
maintenance with the technical assistance service, which for each revision will have to provide you with a certificate
of conformity. Correct cleaning of the stove is essential for its proper functioning.
There are a series of cleaning operations that must be carried out by the user periodically, independently of
the operations that must be carried out by the technical service, and which we could summarize as:
- Disassembly and cleaning of the deflectors that the equipment may have (See section "5.5. Assembly and
Disassembly of the Deflectors").
- Disassembly and cleaning of the cast grill.
- Cleaning the entire combustion chamber with the help of a vacuum cleaner and/or utensil that guarantees
the elimination of the remains of ashes that accumulate in it. When carrying out this operation, it is necessary that
the ash pan be installed.
- Lightly vacuum the area of the ambient fans if the equipment has them, to avoid the accumulation of debris
that interferes with heat exchange and possible blockages, and consequently their malfunction or breakage.
- Once we verify that our equipment is clean inside, we proceed to uninstall our ashtray drawer and clean it,
vacuuming the cabin where it is installed, making sure that the latter is completely clean and that when assembling
the ashtray There is no dirt being dragged inside that could cause future combustion problems.
This last point is very important, since the accumulation of ash can end up obstructing the primary air inlet,
causing the primary air regulation to be blocked. In this way, the equipment would always work as if it had a closed
draft, this being an added reason why smoke may appear when opening the door to refuel the equipment.
List of the main cleaning and maintenance operations to be carried out by the technical assistance service in
general:
- Cleaning of the ambient fans in the event that our team has them.
- Cleaning of all parts inaccessible by the user, as well as the fire housing. In the equipment that has an oven,
the upper part must be cleaned through the registers that the equipment has in the upper part of the door of the
aforementioned oven.
- Checking the condition of the cast iron grill.
- Control and change of the door cord.
- Control and change of the fiber located between the glass and the door.
- Dismantle and clean the union fitting located just at the entrance to the smoke outlet.
- Issuance of the intervention declaration certifying the execution of the maintenance.
ATTENTION: Do not carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks without ensuring that the stove is
completely cool.
