OPTICAL CLASS CLASSIFICATION
The EN379 CE marking is followed by 4 ratings. These correspond to 4 optical tests. First rating (1 or 2) corresponds to
the optical class being "1" the best one; second rating (1, 2 or 3) corresponds to the scattered light factor being "1" the best
rating; the third rating (1, 2 or 3) is to express the darkness homogeneity in the all of the viewing area, being "1" the best;
fourth rating (1,2 or 3) expresses the angle dependency of the lcd being "1" the best evaluation, confirming that the dark
shades will remain constant even when looking thru the lcd with some angle (when looking up or down for instance).
MAINTENANCE
1.- Helmet and headgear can be cleaned with a mild detergent and water. You are not supposed to use any type of solvent
since they could affect the resistance of helmet and headgear.
2.- Sweatband should be washed or replaced at appropriate intervals for sanitary reasons. Handwash al max. 50°C with a
mild detergen! and rinse thoroughly. Do not machine dry.
3.- Filler and polycarbonates should be cleaned with a cloth slightly impregnated with glass cleaning product.
4.- In order to offer maximum protection both for the filler and the user, the outside polycarbonate lens will have to be
checked regularly.
Being exposed to spatters, heat and fumes, it should be replaced as soon as visual defects can be appreciated (deforma-
tion, scratches). We recommend a daily replacement of it.
lnside polycarbonate lense should be replaced when dirty or scratched.
Any not cristal clearvision will stress the user and can cause eyes fatigue or headaches.
REPLACEMENT OF THE ADF AND THE INSIDE POLYCARBONATE PROTECTIVE LENS (Fig. 2)
In order to replace the ADF and the polycarbonate protective lens, it will be necessary first to unblock (1) and to renove (2)
the fixation springs. Once replaced, return to place the fixation springs on blocked position.
For safety reasons, remember to always have a polycarbonate protective lens between your eyes and the ADF. The inside
polycarbonate protective lens can be removed by pulling it out of the ADF from the top central part of the lens where the
corresponding tab of the ADF. (Fig. 3)
To install a new protection plate, you must align it to fil it in the tabs of the two lower corners of the frame, then bend it
until it fits in the two upper corners of the frame.
REPLACEMENT OF THE EXTERNAL POLYCARBONATE PROTECTIVE LENS
1.- From the inside of the mask, unlock the frame of the window by pushing its four pins outwards until they "click". Then
the frame of the window can be removed. (Fig. 4)
2.- From the same position push the protection plate until it comes out. (Fig. 5)
3.- Take a new protection plate and remove its two protective films. (Fig. 6)
4.- Holding the protection plate by the edges to avoid leaving traces, align it inside the frame under the two hook moldings
on one side, and then bend it until it fits inside the other side. (Fig. 7)
5.- Once fitted, place the window in its place introducing its four pins in their corresponding slots located on each side of
the frame. Next, press firmly on the entire window until you make sure that the pins have been fitted correctly (four "clicks"
will record this). (Fig. 8)
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Keep your helmet in it's original packaging in a dry and clean area, preferably out of the reach of solar radiations or heat.
The storage time, if stored in boxes and in good condition at an even ambient temperature is indefinite. Products should be
thoroughly inspected before first use after a long period of storage. lf parts of the product show signs of deterioration, they
should be replaced.
We recommend the transportation of the Xuper Vary Evolution welding helmet in its original packaging or in a bag on its
own, in order to avoid any possible damage or scratches of the filters and ADF.

SERVICE LIFE
The Xuper Vary Evolution welding helmet should have a service life of 4 years in case of a daily extensive use. For occasio-
nal use, the service life should reach 5 or more years. This, providing it has been maintained and stored in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions.
