General
Retention and infiltration systems are usually subject to official approval processes. This should be inves-
tigated in the planning phase. The statutory specifications and the requirements in the relevant literature,
such as German and European standards and work sheets / data sheets of the DWA, always apply.
Only authorised and qualified personnel should install and inspect the infiltration system. The following
safety and installation instructions should also be noted.
The infiltration system is usually sized in accordance with work sheet DWA A-138. Free sizing is available
on request. In particular the permeability of the surrounding soil is of great significance to the function of
the system. Misjudgements may result in problems with and damage to the infiltration ditches.
1.2
Safety
All work should be undertaken in compliance with the relevant accident prevention regulations as per BGV
C22. There is an increased risk of slipping on infiltration ditch elements in frosty and wet conditions.
1.3
Information about operating the system
The supplementary document "Instructions for operating and maintaining the GRAF EcoBloc Inspect smart"
contains more information about the guidelines and obligations of infiltration system operators.
This document also contains information about the filter elements needed to pre-treat the rainwater in the
infiltration ditches.

There is an increased risk of slipping on the GRAF EcoBloc Inspect smart
in wet conditions!
GRAF provides an extensive range of accessories, which are all coordi-
nated and can be combined to form complete systems. Using accessory
parts not approved by GRAF will render the warranty/guarantee null and
void.
