After positioning all the blocks, the entire system
is enveloped in geotextile. This crucial step serves
to prevent the infiltration system from being com-
promised by the ingress of dirt particles through
the
backfill.
Please note:
There is an increased risk of slipping on infiltration ditch elements in frosty
and wet conditions.
7.5
Fitting the inlet
A cross-shaped incision (X) is made on the inlet
surface of the geotextile. The inlet pipe is then in-
serted approximately 20 cm into the X cut, with the
remaining portions of the X cut being securely
glued or welded to the pipe
The required vents are created using the same
method. Vertically aligned vents can be fashioned
on the horizontal drilling surface by employing a
90° KG
bend.
7.6
Connecting the inspection channel
The bases of the infiltration ditch elements are de-
signed for inspection and can support vehicular
loads. To facilitate this, it is recommended to utilise
the bottom connections in the end plates, aligning
them in the direction of laying, for connecting the in-
spection
channel.
