3. Release the chain brake, where you
shift the brake arm (5) back against the
front grip (4).
4. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both
hands, with the right hand on the rear
grip (1) and the left hand on the front

close securely over the handles.

Changing the chain
speed
By pressing the button for chain speed se-
lection (27) you can switch between chain
speeds 15 and 20 m/s.
You can see at which chain speed the de-
vice is currently working by illumination of
Levels 1 or 2 on the chain speed indicator
(25).
Level 1: 15 m/s
At Level 2, the chain speed is 25
m/s if you use the device with two
8 Ah performance batteries "Smart
PAPS 208 A1".
Checking the chain

The motor cannot be turned on if the
chain brake has engaged. Do not
employ the chain brake in order to
start the chainsaw or to switch it off.
Method 1:
1. Place the chainsaw onto a solid, flat
surface. It must not contact any objects.
2. Operate the chain brake lever (5).
3. Insert the batteries (16) into the device.
A warning tone sounds. A warning
