Do not install a lamp with a higher wattage! A lamp like this generates temperatures the device is not de-
signed for. Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty.
Tighten the lamp's knurled-head screws only by hand! Never use any tool to avoid damage! During the
installation, avoid any mechanical tension as the glass-bulb extends minimally during operation. This could
eventually destroy the lamp.
Reclose the housing and tighten the fastenig screws.
Do not operate this device with opened service lid as the ultraviolet radiadation of HMI lamps
can cause burned skin during continued direct contact!
3. Installation
3.1 General instructions
The projector can be installed in any postition without altering its operation characteristics.
Make sure that the device is fixed properly! Ensure that the structure
For fixing the projector use the hole provided in the bracket. The hole in the adjustable mounting bracket has
a diameter of 8mm.
Always fit a safety chain or cord to the projector.
The GENESIS is equipped with an additional 16°-lens, which is integrated inside the projector and defines the
projection angle at 16°. Should you wish to reduce the projection angle to 9°, you simply have to flap the 16°-
lens out of the "light beam".
Procedure (Fig.1): Always disconnect from mains and let the projector cool down. Unscrew the fastening
screws and remove the cover. The 16°-lens is located between the gobos and the effect-wheel. Carefully flap
the 16°-lens out of the "light beam". Close the cover and fasten the fastening screws.
If you want to project over distances of 15 metres or more, you have to turn the objective of the GENESIS in
order to ensure perfect focussing.
Insert the lamp now. Do not touch the glass-bulb bare-handed
during the installation! Please follow the lamp manufacturer's
notes!
Before you close the housing again, make sure that the lamp is
installed tightly into the lampholder system.
