8 Install lubricated o-ring (h) onto upper
groove of pump body
NOTE
Install cylinder (1) with care
Failure to comply may result in
damage to quad-ring (f) and/or
o-ring (h)

Indication
Air motor does not cycle
Air motor blows air at exhaust
Air motor cycles and slight air leakage at exhaust
Slight air leakage at top and/or bottom of
cylinder (1)
Slight air leakage at top of cylinder (1)

To jump start a new motor, disconnect air line and apply maximum of 100 psi (6.9 bar) to connector in a quick install and release motion

9 Install cylinder over o-ring and seat it
properly onto bottom cap
10 Install top cap (21) onto cylinder
11 Install keeper (b) into groove of body
11.1 Make sure hole aligns with screws (22)
12 Install one screw through air motor and
through keeper
13 Install flange nut (10)
13.1 Do not tighten flange nut at this time
14 Repeat procedural steps 11 - 13 for the
additional keepers and screws
15 Install remaining screw (22) and flange
nut (10)
Possible problem
1 Insufficient air pressure
2 Jammed air valve assembly
3 Pump tube jammed and/or contains
loose component
Missing seal(s)
Worn or damaged seal(s)
1 Gasket (8) installed incorrectly
2 Damaged gasket (8)
3 Initial tightening of nuts (10) not
sufficient
1 Damaged o-ring (20)
2 Initial tightening of nuts (10) not

NOTE
Do not overtighten flange nuts (10)

16 Torque each flange nut in an alternate pat-
tern from 60 to 70 in.lbf
(6.8 to 7.9 Nm)
17 Snap cover (2) onto cylinder
Solution
1 Increase air pressure
1)
2 Rebuild or replace air valve assembly
3 Rebuild pump tube
Disassemble air motor, clean, inspect,and install seal(s)
Lubricate with 393590 grease *
Disassemble air motor, clean, inspect, and replace worn
or damaged seal(s)
Lubricate with 393590 grease *
1 Reinstall gasket (8)
2 Replace gasket (8)
3 Tighten nuts (10)
1 Replace o-ring (20)
2 Tighten nuts (10)
