NOTE
Do not attempt to remove cap seal (11)
from directional spool
Failure to comply will result in damage
to cap seal
Clean and inspect
1 Clean all metal parts in environmentally
safe cleaning solvent
2 Inspect all parts for wear and/or
damage
2.1 Replace as necessary
2.2 Use valve replacement kit 393706
3 Inspect bores of cylinder (1) closely for score
marks
3.1 Replace as necessary

Air motor
NOTE
Always use 393590 grease in air motor *
Valve replacement
NOTE
Procedural steps 1 - 4 are applicable to
valve replacement kit

1 Remove exhaust adapter and o-ring
assembly (with pilot piston assembly)
from one end of valve kit
NOTE
Use care during assembly of logic
components Prevent possible damage
to seals
2 Install and seat remainder of valve kit
assembly into one end of cylinder (1)
3 Install and seat exhaust adapter
assembly into cylinder and logic
components
4 Install pilot piston assembly into cylinder
Cylinder
NOTE*
Fill gasket groove and o-ring groove in
top cap (21) with 393590 grease
Fill gasket groove in bottom cap (9) with
393590 grease
5 Install gaskets (8) into top cap (21) and
bottom cap (9)
5.1 Make sure gaskets seat properly
6 Install o-ring (20) into top cap
7 Install muffler (5) into cover (2)
Attach air motor to pump
tube
Refer to pump manual for details

Installation

Upgrade kit (conversion)
NOTE
Air motor must be separated prior to
installation onto pump
1 Remove cover (2) from air motor
2 Remove flange nuts (10) and
screws (22) from air motor
3 Separate top cap (21) from cylinder (1),
and cylinder from bottom cap (9)
1 Remove PML motor from pump
2 Remove air motor piston from rod
2.1 Discard piston and o-ring assembly
3 Remove o-ring from body of pump and
discard
4 Install and secure piston (g) onto rod
5 Install lubricated quad-ring (f) onto
piston
6 Lubricate bore of cylinder (1) with
393590 grease *
7 Install bottom cap (9) onto pump body
