MIX two-component bracket adhesive

5.1. Indications and characteristics
Mix is a bracket adhesive consisting of an activating paste (A) and catalyst paste (B) which are
mixed in a ratio of 1 : 1. The material is of a very soft consistency with sufficient flowing ability to
achieve a good bonding strength, however, with enough viscosity to allow the brackets to be
positioned without drifting.
5.2. Hints for use
Preparation of the teeth

Selection and adaptation of the brackets
For detailed information about the different applications refer to pages 20 – 26.
5.3. Application
5.3.1. Use of sealant resins A+B
Mix resins A + B (small red and white capped bottles) in a ratio of 1 : 1 for 5 – 10 seconds on mixing
pad. Apply mixture in a thin coating, using application sponges on the etched areas. Suggested
instruments: Mosquito forceps (REF 000-730-00) and / or dental tweezers. The sealant resin
flows into the retention grooves and builds a mechanical bond with the etched surface.
5.3.2. Use of adhesives A+B
Before use, stir pastes A+B well. Mix pastes A+B (red and white capped jars) in a
ratio of 1:1 with the mixing spatula on the mixing pad for approximately 20 seconds.
When removing the pastes from the jars, please be sure to use opposite ends of the
mixing spatula in order to avoid contamination between pastes A+B. During mixing, make sure
that no air bubbles are present as they will affect the cure of the paste.
