Functional description

In combination with a thermostat, the infinitely presettable thermostatic valve
AV 9 constitutes an automatically working temperature controller.
The desired room temperature can be set by turning the handwheel of the
thermostat. The room temperature is detected by the thermostat and the
valve opens or closes according to requirements.
The presettable valve insert of the thermostatic valve allows for an exact
adaptation of the volume flow to the heat demand (see chart in the appendix)
and for hydronic balancing.
Hydronic balancing allows for a constant warming of all radiators in
the heating system.
The thermostatic valve ADV 9 provides additional protection in case of
removal or destruction of the thermostat. In this case, the thermostatic valve
automatically closes up to a residual flow rate of 5% of the nominal capacity.
