Disconnect the machine from the power source.
1. Disengage the feed roller lever (B) Fig. 25.
2. Loosen and tighten the two adjustment nuts (C) Fig. 26 to
move the motor plate up or down. Tighten both adjustment
nuts (C) against plate (D) Fig. 26 after adjustment.
3. Close both side panels.
HOW TO CHECk AND ADJUST THE FEED ROLLER BELT TENSION
Use light finger pressure on the drive belts (A) Fig. 28 midway between the pulleys. Proper belt tension will be approximately a 1/4"
deflection. To adjust:
Disconnect the machine from the power source.
1. Engage the feed roller lever (A) Fig. 28.
2. Remove the four screws (E) Fig. 28 that secure the
engagement lever boot (F) to the machine.
3. Raise the boot (F) Fig. 29.
4. Loosen the jam nut (G) Fig. 29 and tighten or loosen the
adjustment hex nut (H).
5. Tighten the jam nut (G) Fig. 29 against hex nut (H) after
adjustment.
6. Replace the engagement lever boot (F) Fig. 29.
