BATTERY INSTALLATION AND BATTERY TYPE
SETTING (WET OR AGM)
According to the type of batteries (WET or AGM), set the machine
and electronic board of the battery charger as follows:
Machine setting
1.
Turn the ignition key (A, Fig. 7) to "I" and in the very first
seconds of machine operation pay attention to the following:
•
If the green warning light (B) is flashing, the machine is
set to AGM.
•
If the red warning light (C) is flashing, the machine is set
to WET.
2.
If the setting is to be changed, perform the following
procedure.

Turn off the machine and turn the ignition key (A) to "0".
4.
Press and hold the switches (D) and (E) at the same time,
then turn the ignition key (80) to "I".
5.
Continue to hold switches (D) and (E) until warning light (B)
or (C) starts blinking.
6.
Immediately release the switches and press the middle
switch (E) to toggle to the other setting. (this must be done
while the light is blinking to change the setting). Cycle the
key switch to check.

7.
Remove the battery charger data inspection window screws
(F).
8.
Remove the inspection window (G).
9.
Turn the battery charger selector (H) to WET position for lead
batteries, or to GEL position for AGM batteries.
10.
Install the inspection window (G) and tighten the screws (F).
Battery installation
11.
Open the cover (I) and check that the recovery water tank (J)
is empty, otherwise empty it with the drain hose (K).
12.
Carefully lift the tank (A, Fig. 8).
13.
Install the batteries (B).
Battery charging
14.
Charge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance
chapter).
