6.0 Measurements with External Trigger Signals
6.1. General remarks
The flash rate of the stroboscope can also be determined by an appropriate external signal transmitter
(sensor). In this case, the central dial can no longer be utilised for adjusting the frequency.
The flash is triggered each time the flank of the signal rises.
6.2. Connecting the external sensor
6.3. Operation mode <External Trigger mode>
The operation mode 'External Trigger' can be selected by pressing the Mode button.
indicated in the first row of the display. When the sensor is connected correctly, the instrument will flash with
the adequate frequency, which is shown in the second row of the display. The LED of the signal input lights up
green.
If no sensor is connected, or if it is not connected properly, the LED lights up red, and the display shows

6.4. Operation mode <Tachometer Mode>
The operation mode 'Tachometer Mode' is selected by pressing the Mode button twice. The display indicates

7.0 Synchronous Output Signal
7.1. General remarks
The synchronous output signal enables to operate more than one stroboscope simultaneously, in order to light
up larger areas of objects, or to illuminate a second object at the same frequency. It is possible to light up any
large surface by chaining several stroboscopes.
External sensors are inserted into the connection socket (see
Overview photo Part No. 10). The slide-on receptacle is designed for a
3,5 mm phono plug (Part No.: SMS-945) with signals at its tip.
