MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
C 1 Centre Tube with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 7 M10 x 30mm x 1.25mm Bolts, Lock Washers and large Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
E 2 Cleats
F 1 Cleat
H 2 M10 x 30mm x 1.25mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and 4 Large Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
J 2 M12 x 80mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
K 1 M12 x 60mm Bolt, Nut, Lock Washer and Large Flat Washer (50mm O.D.)
K1 1 Bush (40mm O.D. - 19mm long)
K2 1 Bush (20mm O.D. - 10mm long)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Temporarily remove one fixing from lower edge of bumper. Temporarily lower exhaust (rear 3 hangers) and remove heat
shield.
2. Cut bumper as shown below.
3. Position Cross Bar (A) inside bumper and loosely attach to captive nuts in outside face of chassis on left hand side and
inside face on the right hand side using Bolts (D), with Cleat (F) on right hand side at forward Bolt (D). Also attach Cross
Bar (A) to towing eye using Bolt (K) and Bushes (K1) and (K2).
4. Loosely attach Cleats (E) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (H), and underside of chassis using Bolts (D).
5. Loosely attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (J).
6. Finally tighten all bolts, refit exhaust heat shield and exhaust, and refit fixing on lower edge of bumper.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
