MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
C 1 Left Hand Side Arm
D 1 Right Hand Side Arm
E 2 M12 x 30 x 1.25mm Fine Pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
F 4 M12 x 40 x 1.25mm Fine Pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
G 4 M12 x 35 x 1.25mm Fine Pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and 2 Nuts
H 2 Spreader Plates (5 door only)
J 2 M12 x 40 x 1.25mm Fine Pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and 6 Flat Washers (25mm O.D.) (5 door only)
CB 2 M16 x 50 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove 3 existing bolts on left hand chassis rail. Remove lower bumper fixing and bend bracket rearwards.
NOTE: On 5door models remove mud flaps and metal under plates to gain extra access for Bolts (F) and (G).
Insert Cross Bar (A) between chassis rails (Right hand side first). Attach to existing captive nuts using Bolts (E).
2. Loosely attach Side Arms (C) and (D) to outer faces of chassis using Bolts (F) and to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts
(G). On 5 door models remove existing bolts from outside face of anti-rollbar mounting brackets and fit
Spreader Plates (H) along with Side Arms (C) and (D) and use 2 spacer washers at forward mounting each
side and attach using Bolts (J).
3. Re-attach lower bumper mount on alternative hole. Fully tighten all bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
