Witter CL126 Instructions

MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 1 Coupling packer
D 2 Captive nut strap
E 8 M12 x 35 x 1.75mm Bolts, 6 Nyloc Nuts, 8 Flat Washers (25mm O.D) and 4 Nut Retainers with Square
Nuts.
F 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75mm Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 4 Flat Washers (40mm O.D)
2 Existing captive strap with Nuts
CB 2 M16 x 60 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
ZEP 6 – High Clearance electrical plate
EP 1
FITTING
1. Remove the nuts securing the under run bar to the vehicle chassis and retain.
2. Attach Cross Bar (A) to bottom face of chassis using Bolts (F) with Flat Washers fitted inside chassis and below,
due to the weight of the assembly it is advisable to hold one end using a suitable support.
3. Assemble cage Nuts (E) as shown on separate fitting instruction to Nut Straps (D). Loosely attach Cross Bar (A)
to existing holes (E) in the chassis with Nut Straps (D) fitted inside chassis and Bolts (E) with Flat washers fitted
outside.
4. Fully tighten all bolts
5. Attach underrun bar to support brackets (D) using original fixing plates fitted from inside face.
6. Fully tighten all bolts.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M12 - 95 Nm, , M16 - 200 Nm
(Note: This towbar must be used with either a Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S'
value greater than or equal to that of the towbar may also be used with universal couplings Z46 and Z32 and adjustable coupling
Z52B)
Please refer to vehicle specification for trailer weight and nose load limits, which must be observed.
