MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 4 M12 x 40mm x1.75 Bolts, 2 Nyloc Nuts, 2 Lock Washers and Flat Washers
E 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Remove bumper (4 screws around wheel arch, 1 tip screw, screws along lower edge and 2 beneath light clusters
(remove light clusters). Pull bumper off sliders and disconnect number plate lights. Remove and discard bumper beam.
Refit bolts to rear panel to prevent ingress of water.
2. Lower exhaust heat shield and remove plastic cover from right hand chassis rail. Remove tape covering mounting holes
in outer face of chassis rails.
3. Cut bumper as shown below. On 2011 models the lower edge need not be cut if the lower edge of the bumper is
separated from the main bumper prior to assembly, the main bumper can be refitted and the lower section clipped on
after. Slide Cross Bar (A) into open ends of chassis and attach using bolts (D) with Flat Washers.
4. Refit Bumper, exhaust heat shield etc. (Cover faceplate of part A with a soft material to prevent damage to
bumper).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball
dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
