Witter CL66A Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Towbar mainframe with European facing to 94/20/EC – A50-1
D 4 M12 x 35 x 1.25mm fine pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and large Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
G 2 M12 x 130mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and 4 large Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
H 1 M8 x 25mm Bolt, Nut and Lock Washer
H1 1 Exhaust Lowering Strap
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers.
B 1 10mm Coupling Packer (for use on lower set of holes).
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical Plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. No need to remove bumper. However, on some models loosening of the mounting bolts may facilitate an easier
fitting.
2. On models with light clusters in the rear bumper, temporarily remove the lights to gain access to the chassis.
3. Loosely attach towbar mainframe (A) to the chassis using bolts (D), and at the rearmost holes using bolts (G).
Tighten all bolts.
4. Re-fit light clusters. On some models it may be necessary to use exhaust lowering strap (H1) fitted with bolt (H)
at the rearmost exhaust mounting.
This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1X) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
