Damage to health due to cleaning agents!
The components in the cleaning agents may irritate eyes
and skin, and may be harmful to health if inhaled or
swallowed�
• Keep all information about the cleaning agents easily
accessible in case of emergency�
• Always keep cleaning agents out of the reach of
children�
• Only use the cleaning agents listed in the instructions,
otherwise the legal warranty will become void�
• Wear gloves�
• Observe warning notes on the packaging of the
cleaning agents�
• Observe the recommended usage quantity�
The unit must be descaled regularly� The intervals depend
on the degree of hardness of the water and the frequency
of use (hard water and/or frequent use = frequent
descaling)�

If the "Descaling" button lights up red on the machine,
perform the descaling process�
To prevent damage to the device, we recommend
descaling every 3 months – at the very latest when the
unit requests you to do so� The descaling program lasts
about 25 minutes and must not be interrupted.

Using an unsuitable descaler can cause damage to the unit�

With glass jug: Fill glass jug with max. 1 liter
of cold water�

With insulated jug: Fill measuring cup with
max. 1 liter of cold water.

Stir the quick descaler powder (50‑100 g)
with a plastic spoon until it has dissolved�

Insert the filter insert into the machine without
filter paper and coffee powder�

Fill the water tank with the descaler solution�
͵ Keep back any powder which has not dissolved and
do not add it to the water tank�

Place the glass jug or insulated jug under
the filter�

Press the "Descaling" button.
͵ The button starts to flash and "CA" is shown on
the display�

Wait for the descaling process to finish�

As soon as the descaling process is complete,
a signal sounds, the "Descaling" button turns off,
and "CA" on the display disappears.

Empty the jug�
