Operation

 Only use the cuffs approved for use with this
monitor. Use of other cuffs or other parts not
produced by the manufacturer may lead to incorrect
measurement results.
 Do not drop the monitor and do not place objects on
top of it.
 Do not place the cuff or the air tube around your
neck when measuring. This can result in
strangulation.
 Do not kink, knot or stretch the air tube for the cuff.
 Continuous pressure from the cuff can result in
impaired blood circulation and injuries.
 Stop the measurement and remove the cuff if you
feel any pain. Otherwise, this could lead to
haematoma or bleeding.
 When a defibrillator is used, the monitor's housing
must not touch the patient. This can result in
damage and faulty readings.
 The monitor does not function for patients who
suffer from atrial fibrillation.
 Do not place the cuff over wounds as this may result
in injury.
 Do not place the cuff on an arm that has an
intravascular catheter or arteriovenous fistula. This
can result in temporary disruption of the blood flow.
 Do not take measurements too frequently. This can
disrupt the blood flow.
 Consult your doctor if you wish to use the cuff on
your arm on the side on which you have had a
mastectomy.
 The monitor is subject to special precautionary
measures with regard to EMC. For this reason, you
must install and operate the device in accordance
with the instructions specified in this manual.
 The monitor must not be placed directly next to or in
a stack with other devices. If it is necessary to
operate the device in a stack with other devices,
examine the monitor to check that it is used as
intended.
