SINGLE SERVICE STEP
Press UP and DOWN to select a service function and ENTER to start the appropriate procedure.
Individual functions can be performed individually or in a fully automatic service sequence.
Select the left-most function to start the fully automatic A/C service sequence, or one of the
other functions to perform the appropriate procedure only. If the system detects a condition
that prevents the sequence from continuing, the sequence will be interrupted and the final hose
recovery procedure will be proposed.
Recovery
During this phase, the system recovers refrigerant
from the A/C system and pushes it into the internal
receiver. When the pressure in the internal lines and
in the vehicle drops to the lower limit, the compressor
stops. The station checks whether the pressure is
rising (which means that residual refrigerant still
needs to be recovered from the vehicle) and, if so,
performs a new recovery cycle. The procedure ends
when the pressure stabilizes at the lower values.
Oil recuperation
If at least 50 g of refrigerant have been recovered, the
draining procedure starts automatically immediately
after the refrigerant recovery procedure.
The display shows the amount of refrigerant
recovered and the amount of oil drained (if your
model is fitted with an oil scale). The procedure is
skipped for small quantities of recovered refrigerant.
Vacuum
The VACUUM procedure eliminates traces of
air and moisture in the A/C system. A long and
appropriate VACUUM is strongly recommended,
especially when the A/C system is opened, for
example to modify a component. If the procedure
cannot reach a satisfactory vacuum pressure, it will
stop and indicate a possible leak in the A/C system.
When the programmed vacuum time expires, the
VACUUM TEST procedure starts automatically if the
associated parameter is not set to zero.
