TROUBLESHOOTING
Caution: The engine must be turned off and allowed to cool, and spark plug wire must be disconnected before attempting any maintenance or repair.
In the event that you experience trouble operating your cultivator, the following guide will help you identify the causes of common problems. Follow the
suggested steps to solve them. For more complicated repairs, contact your retailer or an authorized service center.
Problem
Engine will not start
Engine runs abnormally, floods during operation
Engine has trouble starting
Engine lacks power
Tines turn at idle speed
Engine runs, then stops
Engine revs too high

Possible cause
1. Power switch off
2. Spark plug wire disconnected
3. Battery not connected or low charge
1. Dirty air filter
2. Choke partially engaged
3. Carburetor out of adjustment
1. Dirty fuel
2. Spark plug wire not properly connected with
the spark plug
3. Dirty carburetor
1. Clogged fuel tank
2. Clogged air filter
3. Improper carburetor adjustment
4. Dirty spark plug, wrong gap or wrong type
1. Idle speed too high
2. Broken clutch spring
1. The fuel filler cap is not venting
1. Low fuel

Solution
1. Flip switch to ON position
2. Connect spark plug wire to spark plug
3. Connect or charge the battery
1. Clean or replace air filter
2. Turn off the choke
3. Contact an authorised service center
1. Drain old fuel and replace with fresh.
2. Make sure spark wire is securely attached to
spark plug
3. Clean carburetor, or contact an authorised
service center
1. Remove and clean
2. Clean or replace
3. Contact an authorised service center
4. Replace, adjust gap
1. Adjust idle speed to lower level
2. Replace spring
1. Make sure the fuel filler cap's vent screw is in
the venting position
1. Add fuel to tank
