6.4. Maintenance/Cleaning
The filter sponge has to be cleaned from time to time, depending on the water conditions. In order
to protect the bacteria population, the sponge should be rinsed in hand warm water, the best is
aquarium water.
Depending on the water quality, the pump has to be cleaned from time to time. Pull out the power
plug before you start any work at the pump. Remove the pump housing. Now, the complete rotor
(9 - 11) can be removed, cleaned under running water and reassembled in the opposite order.
7. Lighting system sun cover 2 x 39 Watt
7.1. Technical Data
Line voltage: 230 Volt/ 50 Hz (if not stated otherwise on the ID-label). For wattage, please refer
to the ID-label .
Included in shipment:
Sun cover, lighting equipped with splash-proof sockets for T5 fluorescent lamps, 2 pieces of high
polish reflectors.
7.2. Safety instructions
The lighting must not be used under water.

In case of changing the fluorescent lamps, always disconnect the light from the

mains.
In case the connection pipe is broken, don't repair it yourself. The lamp has to

be exchanged completely.

It is prohibited to open the lamp.

When working on the aquarium. always pull the lamp's plug beforehand.

! Please don't try to repair the lighting system yourself but send it to AB Aqua
•
Medic for checking, preferably together with a list of defects.
The socket rings always have to be mounted and fastened tightly. Don't take
•
the lamp into operation without socket rings
7.3 Unpacking
On unpacking, please check the lighting system immediately for any damages. In case of any
complaints, please contact your dealer directly.
7.4. Lamps
We do recommend to use AB Aqua Medic's T5 fluorescent lamp Ocean White and Ocean blue for
saltwater aquaria.
