18.9 Display backlight
It is possible to set the display brightness both for operation as well as for the
standby mode.
>
Press the MENU button and then select [Main Menu > System Settings >
Backlight].
>
Select [Operation] or [Standby] to apply the setting for operating mode or
standby mode.
>
You can now set the brightness in three steps from High to Medium to Low
and Off (only in standby mode).
>
Confirm the selection with OK.
18.10 Data protection information

Press the MENU button and then select [Main Menu > System Settings >
Data Protection].
Here you will find a link to the current data protection information relating to your
device.
19 Charging function for external devices
The DIGITRADIO 586 has a wired and wireless (to Qi standard) charging function for
external devices such as mobile phones and smartphones.
Do not use both charging variants at the same time. This can cause damage
to your devices.
19.1 Wired charging of external devices
Use the original charging cable (USB) for your external device and insert the USB
plug into the USB port (24) on the back of the DIGITRADIO 586.
The external device can be charged at a maximum of 5 V and 1 A.
19.2 Wireless charging of external devices
If your external device has a wireless charging function (wireless charging to QI
standard), you can place it on the charging mat (26) on the top of the DIGITRADIO
586. The display of your external device must be facing upwards when doing so.
If correctly orientated, the charging process will begin automatically. Please refer
to the instruction manual for your external device for more information on wireless
battery charging.
Make sure that the loading mat is free from foreign objects. Otherwise,
malfunctions may occur.
