OPERATION
7.2 OPERATOR PRESENCE AND SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM _________________
1.
The OPC system controls the primary drive clutch. You can start the engine, but the drive will not engage
until the OPC system is in operation (See 6.1). The machine will not drive until the OPC is engaged. To
engage the Cutting cylinder, operate the lever (F See 6.5).
When the OPC hand lever is released, the machine will come to a stop, the engine will continue to run.
2.
Test the OPC system.
If the test fails, stop the test and inspect the system.
•
Start the engine. Do not operate the OPC. The machine must not move forward and the cylinder must not
rotate.
•
Engage the OPC system (see 6.1). The machine will now move. Next release the control levers. The
machine must come to a controlled stop, with the drive and cutting cylinder disengaged. The engine will
continue to run.
3.
Refer to the chart below for each test and follow the check marks across the chart. Turn off the engine
between tests.
Test 1: Start the Engine and engage the cutting cylinder. When the OPC System is engaged, the cylinder
will rotate and the machine will drive forward.
Test 2: Start the Engine and engage the cutting cylinder. When the OPC System is disengaged, the
cylinder will not rotate and the machine will not drive forward.
Test 3: Start the Engine and disengage the cutting cylinder. When the OPC System is engaged, the
cylinder will not rotate and the machine will drive forward.
Test 4: Start the Engine and disengage the cutting cylinder. When the OPC System is disengaged, the
cylinder will not rotate and the machine will not drive forward.
