4. Setting and activating the SUS
One or a combination of the following steps can be taken
to ensure that the SUS

The SUS
as a spring: The SUS

additional force of approx. 3.0 N, is available if greater
activation is required. The turbo spring is placed on the
SUS
telescope element so that the three closed coils are

pointing towards the SUS
SUS
as a hinge: Standard activation is completed
2
using the 1 mm and 2 mm spacer rings supplied
(REF 607-103-11 and 607-104-11). Depending on
requirements, one or several spacer rings can be clamped
on the SUS
telescope rod using special crimping
2
pliers (REF 003-710-00) or Weingart universal pliers
(REF 003-120-00) (Fig. 11).
Caution: Only use the SUS
soldered appliances that are retained using bands –
the appliance can only be activated using spacer rings
(no SUS
turbo spring).
