4.1 Select two-station temperature sensor control mode
Switch control mode from Set1 to Set2.
• To this end turn power switch (1) OFF
• Depress and hold both, Select key (5) and Set key (6), turn power switch (1) ON.
• Release both keys
• Hit Select key (5) once, Set2 appears in display (7).
• Hit Set key (6) to confirm Set2 mode
• Set2 mode ready is confirmed by 3 beeps and medium (substance) temperature appearing in the
display (7). Act Temp LED (11) lights.
4.2 Setting 2-station temperature sensors
Set nominal temperature, ∆T and turn the heating circuit ON as described under para. 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3.
Whenever you replace the 2-station temperature sensor with a „normal" Pt 1000
sensor (chromium steel or glass sheath), change control mode to Set1 (refer to
para. 4.1 „select 2-station temperature sensor control mode")

Heating in absence of temperature sensor (Set3 mode)
No temperature sensor connected will make the item control hot plate temperature only.
MR 3003 control is designed as to auto-detect this operational mode (Set3 mode).
• When turning the power switch (1) ON, Set3 mode detected appears in the display (7).
• After 3 beeps, display (7) shows the hot plate temperature with a prefix H; Act Temp LED(11)
lights.
• For setting hot plate nominal temperature please refer to para. 3.1 „set nominal temperature". Also
refer to para. 3.3 „turn heating circuit ON/OFF".

Residual heat indicator
To avoid burns when touching the hot plate, the MR 3003 control features a residual heat indicator. A
flashing red LED (10) warns you that hot plate temperature still is above 50°C; this safety feature is
available only with the power switch or heater switch in OFF position.
