22.0 TRANSVERSAL ARTICULATION
the transversal swinging allows the transplanting unit to adapt to the ground. (fig. 12)
23.0 PLANT CONTROL
the moving guard (fig. 13A) places the plants in vertical position, so that they are ready for ejection.
Moreover, by means of the screw (fig.13B) it is possible to adjust the range according to the plant height.
24.0 DISTRIBUTOR HALF-CUP OPENING
According to the type of plant and speed of rotation, the plants descending from the distributor (fig. 14)
may hit the mouth of the dropping tube (fig. 14D) sideways on, resulting in a drop which is not straight.
To correct this situation adjust the
RH (fig. 14A)
LH (fig. 14B)
opening levers, by turning the screws (C) until the plants drop down the centre of the tube (fig. 14E)
-turn clockwise to DELAY
-turn anticlockwise to ADVANCE
Secure the screws properly (fig. 14C).
25.0 PLOUGHSHARE FORROW OPENER
It can be easily opened to be cleaned. Unloosen the wing nut (fig. 15A) and push the ploughshare forward
(fig. 15B) by pressing the safety lever (fig. 15C), lower the ploughshare. To close it: bring the ploughshare
back on a horizontal position, push then backward and lock the wing nut A.
26.0 WHEEL SCRAPER
It is possible to adjust the height from the ground by operating the screws (fig. 16A) and turning the
support (fig. 16B).
It is possible to adjust the distance from wheels by operating the screws(fig. 16C).
27.0 TRANSPLANTING DISTANCE BETWEEN THE ROWS
adjustable distance between the paired rows of each unit (fig. 17)
basic version minimum 35 cm maximum 50 cm
version upon request minimum 30 cm maximum 50 cm
Adjust the screws (fig. 13C) and move the ploughshare group (fig. 13D) to the desired position.
The two ploughshare groups must always be at the same distance from the centre.
When setting the distance, adjust the tie rod (fig. 13E) making sure that it does not hurt mechanical parts
when at maximum range.
- the ejector (fig. 13F) in its maximum pull position should protrude about 1 cm outside the ploughshare
To move from the minimum to the maximum distance, invert the ploughshare groups.
The right one to the left and vice versa.
27.1 INTER-ROW SPACING
The diagrams (fig. 18 and fig. 19) show respectively the distances which can be obtained with the standard
or optional gear ratios.
To change the standard gears and obtain the distances indicated, observe the safety regulations, and
proceed as follows:
-Tighten the wheel depth adjustment device (fig. 20F) to reduce the tension of the chain
-Remove the casing (fig. 20A) by turning the nuts (fig. 20B)
-Without opening the chain, support the tensioning device (fig. 20C) with the chain still on it
-Move the chain to the outside of the lower and upper gears
-Release the chain tensioner gradually
-Change the gears by turning the appropriate fixing screws (fig. 20D,E), positioning them as shown in the
table (fig. 18-19)
-Reposition the chain making certain that it is correctly inserted on the appropriate chain tensioner (fig. 20C).
-Fix the casing and return the depth adjustment device to its initial position.
27.2 RAPID GEAR VERSION
The diagrams (fig. 21) and (fig. 22) show the distances available with the standard and optional ratios.
In order to obtain the given distances, slacken the chain (fig. 23A) by using the knob and the lever (fig.
23B) and move it to the desired position. Lock it again making sure that the chain is aligned and moderately
stretched.
