Inserting/replacing the soldering tip

■ The soldering tip may only be removed when
the appliance is switched off and the soldering
tip is cooled down.
■ The soldering tip has a screw thread and can
thus be removed quickly from the soldering iron.
♦ Unscrew the soldering tip anticlockwise.
♦ Screw the soldering tip in clockwise.

Before use

Switching the soldering iron on and off
Switching on:
♦ Insert the power plug into a suitable socket.
Switching off:
♦ Pull the plug from the mains power socket to
turn off the unit.

Soldering iron stand

NOTE
► During breaks in work, the soldering iron
must be placed in the soldering iron stand
► Use only the soldering iron stand or another
fireproof surface when putting down the
soldering iron.

Connecting the mains adapter

NOTE
► The magnifier lamp

batteries.
♦ Insert the low voltage plug of the mains adapter
into the socket
on the side of the appliance.
♦ Insert the mains adapter into a mains power
socket.
♦ Place the connecting cable in such a way that
no one can stumble over it.

Inserting/replacing the batteries

NOTE
► Remove the mains adapter before inserting
suitable batteries.
► When using the appliance out of reach of a
wall outlet, it can also be operated with four
AA batteries.
♦ Open the battery compartment
♦ Remove the battery holder if it is in the battery
compartment.
♦ Insert new batteries or replace the existing
batteries (observe the correct polarity).
