INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY AND USE
EN
5. Thread the slackline from above through the slit shaft (A) of the ratchet (Fig. 6).
Pull the slackline untill it is under tension. You as such have one hand free to
operate the ratchet. Release the ratchet by pulling on the safety catch (B). Pull
the ratchet back and forth and untill the line is under tension (Fig. 7). The line
has to be tensioned by at least 1,5 times and not more than 2,5 turns. Make
sure that you pull the line straight, in order to prevent damage to the material.
Oblique tension can destroy the ratchet.
6. Once the line is tensioned, ensure that the safety catch (B) cleanly seats in the
teeth (Fig. 8) and as such guarantees a proper securing of the ratchet. Make
sure that the tension lever is applied. You should during use, control the tension
and tighten the line if necessary. You should always pull the ratchet cover over
the ratchet prior to use.
7. When disassembling, remove the ratchet cover, pull the safety catch ( B) to re-
lease the tension lever and carefully fold the ratchet far up untill the locking
mechanism pops open. You can now pull the slackline out of the shaft. Caution!
The system is under tension! When releasing the locking mechanism a bash
can occur. Risk of injury!

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

TREE PROTECTION DEVICE
When using trees as attachment points,
attention has to be paid to the following:
• In order to avoid damage to trees, the slackline should only be tensioned
around healthy trees that have a minimum diameter of 30 cm ( 100 cm circum-
frence) at the fastening height.
• The tree protection devices always have to be used, in order to protect the tree
from possible friction.
• No penetrating fasteners (nails, dowels, tree screws, etc.) should be used.
• The pressure exerted on the tree bark has to be distributed so that in the case
of a circumfrence of 100 cm, the contact width of the slackline system amounts
to at least 10 cm. If necessary, the contact width has to be ensured by the fact
that the line or the ratchet strap is passed several times around the tree. This
side by side placement of the individual layers distributes the pressure.
• In the case of the frequent use of the same area or high traffic density, measu-
res against soil compaction have to be taken. In addition, measures should be
taken to protect roots – particulary in the case exposed flat roots -.
EXPLANATION OF THE LABELING
The slackline is provided with a product labeling. It entsils important information
on proper use. Please pay attention to the labeling.
Pay attention to the instruction manual
Maximum number of people
Max. 1
Maximum effective height
Max. 50 cm
Maximum weight of the user
Max. 100 kg

Maximum tension on the elements - operating force
(Force applied by the user on the tension elements)
Max. 400 N ~ 40 kg
The maximum sling point load (without icon) refers to the resistance force of the
force absorbing sling for the attachment of the slackline system with regard to the
increased force that results from the traffic load (gravity of the slackline-user) and
the pre-tension of the slackline.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Use a dry or damp cloth only to clean the product; do not use special cleaning
agents! Check the product for damage or traces of wear and tear before and after
each use. Do not make any structural changes. For your own safety, please use
original spare parts only. These can be sourced from HUDORA. If parts become
damaged or if sharp edges or corners should develop, the product may not be
used any more. If in any doubt, please contact our service team (http://www.hu-
dora.de/service/). Store the product in a safe place where it is protected from the
elements, cannot be damaged, and cannot injure anyone.
Only clean the product with lukewarm water. Protect the product from direct sun-
light, heat, chemicals, pollution, and mechanical damage and store it in a well-
ventilated place. The ratchet should be oiled regularly with a commercially availa-
ble lubricant in order to prolong its service life.
DISPOSAL ADVICE
At the end of the product's life, please dispose of it at an appropriate collection
point provided in your area. Local waste management companies will be able to
answer your questions on this.
