Features
O The power is supplied to the camera recorder and
the signals are input and output by a 26-pin multi-
cable (maximum length: 100 meters) in combination
with the remote control unit (AJ-RC905).
The amount of power which can be supplied is
subject to limitations so consult your dealer when
putting together your system.
O The images being shot by the camera recorder can
be transmitted as analog component signals with
their high image quality intact.

1 Battery holder
This is where the battery back is attached.
For details, refer to "Attaching the battery pack."
2 INCOM connector
The INCOM (Inter-Communication) headset is
connected here.
3 RCU connector
The remote control unit (AJ-RC905) is connected
here using the 26-pin cable for communications and
signal transmission.
<Note>
When the 26-pin cable is connected, do not apply
excessive force to this connector.
4 MIC switch
This is the ON/OFF switch for the INCOM
microphone.
5 INCOM dial
This is used to adjust the volume of the INCOM
sounds received.

O The unit can be attached to and removed from the
camera recorder in a single action.
O A battery pack can be selected to serve as the
power source of the camera recorder.
The camera recorder can operate as a regular
camera recorder even while the unit is attached to
it.
O This unit can be connected to an external VTR
using a 26-pin cable for dubbing.
For details on the signals of the 26-pin cable for
dubbing, refer to page 12.
<Note>
The sound (PGM) of the program being recorded is
multiplexed with the INCOM signals from the
remote control unit (AJ-RC905).
The audio level of the program being recorded is
adjusted using the remote control unit.
6 POWER switch
This is used to select the power to be supplied to
the camera recorder.
RCU:
The power to be supplied from the 26-pin cable
(transmitted from the remote control unit) is
selected.
BATT:
The battery pack is selected.
<Note>
If, when a battery pack is used as the power
source, the remaining battery charge has dropped
to the point where the power of the camera
recorder is automatically turned off, all the power
supplied to the camera recorder must be turned off
together.
Set the POWER switch on the camera recorder to
the OFF position, keep the unit's POWER switch at
BATT, and detach the battery pack.
7 BREAKER (circuit breaker) button
When trouble or malfunctioning causes an
excessively high current to flow inside the unit, the
circuit breaker is activated, and the power is
automatically turned off to protect the equipment.
After inspecting and remedying the problem inside
the unit, push this button in.
If there is no trouble or malfunctioning, the power
will come back on.
