Roasted bananas with rum sauce
Serves 4
ingredients:
• 30 g butter
• 3 tbs brown rum
• the juice of 1 lime
• 3 tbs brown sugar
• 4 bananas
• 30 g melted butter
• the juice of 3 limes
1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan with the rum
and lime juice. Add the brown sugar and stir until
melted. Keep warm.
2. Cut the bananas in half lengthwise. use a kitchen
brush to brush the slices with the lime juice and
melted butter.
3. Position the bananas on the griddle hotplate on
their skin side and cook, adjusting the cooking
time to suit your own taste. Turn them over and
continue cooking.
Serve immediately with the hot sauce.
