13.1 Resetting the high limit safety cut-out

1 Reset button for high limit safety cut-out
The high limit safety cut-out protects the appliance from overheat-
ing. The electric emergency/booster heater is switched off when
the cylinder water temperature exceeds 85 °C.
f Once the cause of the fault has been removed, press the reset
f
button of the high limit safety cut-out on the rod thermostat.
To do so, remove the appliance cover.

13.2 Motor overload relay

In the event of excessive thermal load on the compressor, the
motor overload relay switches the compressor off.
f Remove the cause.
f
After a short cooling period, the motor overload relay will restart
the compressor automatically.

Remedy
Check whether power to the
X2/LP input on the control unit
PCB has been interrupted.
Check whether the fan is
faulty. Check whether the
intake duct is blocked by dis-
mantling it from the air intake
and discharge.
Check whether power to the
X2/LP input on the control unit
PCB has been interrupted.
Remedy the cause of the fault.
Using a service plug inserted
into the back of the program-
ming unit, you can access ad-
vanced menu items and reset
the high pressure switch.

14. Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING Electrocution
Prior to all work on the appliance, isolate it from the
power supply.

14.1 Removing the appliance cover

f Undo the screw (Torx) that fastens the control fascia and the
f
appliance cover to the appliance.
f Push the control fascia upwards.
f
f Remove the control fascia.
f
f A lead connects the operating controls to the appliance PCB.
f
If necessary, pull the plug from the back of the control fascia
to fully remove the control fascia.
f Carefully lift away the appliance cover and undo the earth
f
cable that runs from the appliance control panel to the cover.
Note
Refit the appliance cover after completing your work. See
chapter "Maintenance and cleaning / Fitting the appliance
cover").
