The minimum collector temperature is a minimum start temperature that
.*-
must be exceeded for the solar pump (R1) to be switched ON. The minimum
SET
.%%
temperature is intended to prevent the solar pump from switching ON too
frequently when the collector temperatures are low. Where the temperature is
below the minimum temperature, the display shows G (flashing).
*,-
SET
°C
Where the temperature falls below the set frost protection level, the frost
."%
protection function starts the heating circuit between the collector and the
.%%
SET
cylinder to prevent the medium from freezing or "thickening-up". When the set
frost protection temperature is exceeded by 1 °C, the heating circuit is switched
OFF again.

Note:
SET
As only a limited amount of heat is available in the cylinder for this function,
°C
the frost protection function should only be used in areas where temperatures
around freezing point occur only a few times each year.
This function assists in mitigating the disadvantages that can be created with some
.1*
tube collectors through the less than ideal arrangement of the sensors.
.%%
SET
This function is only active within an adjustable period, starting at RKAN and
ending at RKEN. The collector circuit pump runs for the selected runtime (RKLA),
uninterrupted by adjustable idle periods (RKSZ). This should compensate for the
delayed temperature capture.
1* -
If the selected runtime RKLA exceeds 10 seconds, the pump will operate for
SET
the first ten seconds at 100% speed. For the remaining runtime, the pump will
operate at the selected minimum speed nMN. The tube collector function will
be suppressed or switched off if the collector sensor is faulty or the collector is
blocked.
1*$-
On two collector systems (east-west orientation, system type 7) the tube collector
function will be implemented separately for both collector arrays. If the cylinder
SET
is heated by collector 1, collector 2 will nevertheless be operated after the selec-
ted idle period has expired.
1*+
Note:
Parameter RKLA is not available, if option "Drainback" is enabled. In that case,
SET
the runtime of the tube collector function is defined by parameter tFLL and tSTB.
!
1*29
Water hammer can be created if the drainback system is filled with the tube
SET
collector function, and the heat transfer medium enters a severely heated col-
lector.
If a non-pressurised drainback system is used, set parameter RKAN and RKEN
so that the system is not filled when there is strong insolation.
Setting channels nMN default a relative minimum speed for connected pumps for
output R1.
CAUTION:
When using consumers without variable speed control (e.g. valves), set the value
to 100% to disable the variable speed control.
WARNING: Risk of injury and appliance damage through water ham-
mer.
