is subject to the water quality and temperature. A lower water temperatures, the active
anode is consumed less.
Your appliance is equipped with the most modern active anode state display. As long
as the indicator light of the hot water tank is green, the active anode ensures the se-
condary protection of the tank against corrosion. When the active anode cannot serve
for corrosion protection any more, the green indicator light turns yellow first, and red
afterwards. In this case, have a professional install a new active anode in the appliance.
The proper installation of the anode state indicator electronic system and the anode in-
dicator is essential.
IF YOU FAIL TO OBSERVE THE FOREGOING, AND THIS RESULTS IN THE DETERIORATION
OF THE SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE APPLIANCE, YOU WILL
LOSE YOUR GUARANTEE AND WARRANTY RIGHTS.
9.4. Descaling
Depending on the quality and quantity of the water used, scale deposition may oc-
cur on the heater exchanger or the tank walls. The scale deposited on the heater de-
creases the heating efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to descale the hot water tank
every two years.
It is forbidden to apply any sharp metal object or acid to remove scale deposited on the
heat exchanger, the closing cover and its fittings. Please, use commercially distributed
cleaning and descaling supplies.
Scale can be removed from the interior of the tank manually, through the service ope-
ning. After the removal of scale, it is recommended to flush the tank using water jet.
9.5. Prevention of frost damage
If the temperature in the room hosting the hot water tank may fall below the freezing
point, the heating of the tank must not be switched off during frost danger periods,
otherwise the tank must be emptied.
9.6. In case of indirect heating
OVERHEATING PROTECTION MUST BE ENSURED USING
THE INDIRECT HEATING EQUIPMENT!
9.7. Air filter
Clean the air filter every month, as this has an impact on the heating performance. If
the filter has been mounted directly into air inlet (i.e. the air inlet is not connected to an
air duct), the filter can be dismounted and cleaned as follows: turn the air inlet closing
ring counter-clockwise to remove it, remove the filter and perfectly clean it, then re-ins-
tall it in its place.
