Possible cause
1
E
Battery is missing, is faulty or volt-
age less than 15.5V.
(flash-
-
Maintenance date is reached.
No maintenance date entered.
-
Minimum power consumption of
the pump not reached.
Control unit-pump cable inter-
rupted.
Pump is defective.
-
Maximum power consumption of the
pump exceeded, possible impeller
blockage.
E
Power contactor does not switch off.
-
Power supply has failed.
The unit's miniature fuse (S1) has
tripped.
Power supply has failed, circuit
breaker has tripped.
Main switch is defective - mains
supply cable interrupted.
or
E
Self-resetting temperature monitor-
ing has tripped.
E
NON self-resetting temperature
monitoring has tripped.
E
Incorrect layout or wiring of the
probes
The sensors in the control unit are
configured incorrectly,
-
Phase L2 or L3 is no longer applied.
E
Incorrect rotating field of the mains
connection.
E
Motor protection switch has tripped
- motor protection switch set incor-
rectly.
Pumping current too high due to
faulty or blocked pump.
Excessive current due to phase fail-
ure.
E
Hose at the fitting to the immer-
sion pipe (or submersible pressure
switch) or control unit is leaking.
E
Maximum operating cycles
exceeded.

Remedial measure
Check battery charge state, correct
connection and damage to the battery
connection terminals.
Carry out maintenance.
Enter maintenance date.
Carry out pump maintenance as
described in the instructions, replace
the pump if necessary.
Carry out pump maintenance as
described in the instructions, replace
the pump if necessary.
Contact a service technician.
none - general power outage.
Check fuse.
Check main switch.
Check mains cable.
Deliberate switching off, shut down
the control unit (see "Switch on
and off", page 39).
Self-resetting - the pump starts again
automatically when the motor has
cooled down. The error message is
acknowledged automatically. Have
the pump replaced if the temperature
error occurs frequently.
NON self-resetting - the pump
remains inactive, even after the motor
has cooled down. It is necessary to
switch off and switch on again the
control unit. Have the pump replaced
if the temperature error occurs fre-
quently.
Functional check as described in the
system documentation.
Check power supply cable and fuses.
Swap 2 phases of power cable.
Set current value according to
pump.
Remove blockage.
Replace pump, if defective.
Check mains for phase failure.
Check tightness of the pressure sen-
sor system.
Can be acknowledged. Inform cus-
tomer service. Error appears after a
further 1000 operating cycles.
