2. Introduction | Intended use
NOTE
Intended use
PegaSys-products are designed exclusively for open-
ing and closing doors and similar objects.
Do not use PegaSys products for any other pur-
poses.
Malfunctions due to poor contact or different dis-
charge
Contact surfaces that are too small/contaminated or
different discharged batteries can lead to malfunc-
tions.
1. Only use batteries that are approved by
SimonsVoss.
2. Do not touch the contacts of the new batteries
with your hands.
3. Use clean and grease-free gloves.
4. Always replace all batteries at the same time.
Qualifications required
The installation and commissioning requires special-
ized knowledge.
Only trained personnel may install and commission
the product.
Modifications or further technical developments can-
not be excluded and may be implemented without no-
tice.
The German language version is the original instruction
manual. Other languages (drafting in the contract lan-
guage) are translations of the original instructions.
Read and follow all installation, installation, and com-
missioning instructions. Pass these instructions and
any maintenance instructions to the user.
2. Introduction | Intended
use
Electronic door fittings in the PegaSys range are used
to provide access control for individual doors. You will
only be able to unlock a door with an electronic door
fitting if you identify yourself as an authorised person
with a valid credential.
2.1. Exception: PegaSys PIN Code
You can only operate this version of an electronic door
fitting using codes that you enter into the built-in
keypad. You can programme the door fitting with
codes and assign a specific function to each code.

it is in service, for example.

Check the cylinder length.
The profile cylinder must protrude 27–31 mm from the
outer fitting (on the left in the diagram) and 8–12 mm
from the inner fitting (on the right in the diagram).
