6.3- Sharpening the wedge
After using the log splitters for some time or when required, sharpen the wedge of the log splitter
using a fine-toothed file and smooth any burrs or crushed area along the cutting edge.
6.4- Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Falls to split logs
The log pusher moves
jerkily, taking unfamiliar
noise or vibrating a lot
Oil leaks around cylinder
ram or from other points.
Motor does not start
Log Splitter does not
work while motor
running
6.5- Storage
- Keep the product, the instructions manual and all accessories in the original packaging.
- It is recommended to store the tool in a dry location out of children's reach.
- Cover the splitter properly if you store it in a shelter or in poorly protected room.
- Protect the motor and especially the switch against water and moisture.
- Do not store anything above or on the splitter
6.6- Disposal
- Do not dispose the product with household garbage. Do not throw into the environment.
- Dispose of the product in a collection centre for waste of electrical and electronic equipment, or a
waste drop-off centre; or seek advice from your local municipality.
- Disposal of the product, accessories and packaging should be carried out according to local
regulations governing environment protection
PROBABLE CAUSE
Log is Improperly positioned
The sizes or hardness of the log.
exceeds the capacity of the machine
Wedge cutting edge is blunt
Oil leaks
Unauthorized adjustment was made
on Max. Pressure Limiting Screw.
Lower max pressure rating was set.
Lack of hydraulic oil and excessive air
in the hydraulic system.
Air sealed in hydraulic system
while operating.
Bleed Screw is not tightened
before moving the log splitter.
Oil Drain Bolt with Dipstick is
not tight.
Hydraulic Control Valve Assembly
and / or seal(s) worn
No current in the socket
Electrical extension line defective
Switch or capacitor defective.
Valve is not opened owing to the
connection parts loosening
Control Levers or Connection parts
bent.
Lower hydraulic oil level
REMEDY SUGGESTED
Refer to" Log Splitter
Operation" section for perfect
log loading.
Reduce the log sizes before
splitting it on the log splitter
Refer to" Sharpening the
Wedge" section to sharpen the
cutting edge.
Locate leak(s) and contact the
dealer
Contact the dealer.
Check oil level for possible oil
refilling. Contact the dealer.
Loosen Bleed Screw by 3~4
rotations before operating the
log splitter
Tighten the Bleed Screw up before
moving the log splitter.
Tighten the Oil Drain Bolt with
Dipstick.
Contact the dealer
Check mains fuse
Unplug, Check and replace.
Have checked by Electrician
Check and tighten the parts.
Repair the bent parts
Check and refill hydraulic oil.
